MHYSC Announces New President
On behalf of the Mount Hamilton Youth Soccer Club (MHYSC), I would like to introduce myself, Anthony Odoardi as your new President. It is with tremendous pride, enthusiasm and humbleness with which I accept this challenge. I, along with the MHYSC executive team, look forward to the exciting opportunities in the upcoming year and beyond. My goal is to continue to progress the MHYSC forward in conjunction with the upcoming mandated changes being introduced via the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) and Canadian Soccer Association (CSA). These changes are congruent with MHYSC strategies already being undertaken, specifically the implementation of Long Term Player Development (LTPD). Further, meeting the needs of our membership and other stakeholders in the community is as equally as important. Striking a balance between the above initiatives will be key in continuing a rich and proud legacy here at MHYSC. Exciting times are also ahead as we draw close to MHYSC’s 50th anniversary celebrations. The MHYSC Executive are planning exciting events to commemorate this special anniversary and achievement!
In addition to all the above initiatives, the MHYSC continues to work with our Hamilton United partners, Stoney Creek Soccer Club in making this worthwhile venture a full reality. The vision of both clubs simply is, “To be the soccer club of choice for the Greater Hamilton Area”. Please visit http://www.hamilton-united.com/ to find out more about this exciting opportunity. Stay tuned for even more exciting news in this regard in the upcoming weeks.
It is my firm belief as President of this great club that the MHYSC are leaders in the delivery of soccer programming in the Hamilton area. I, along with newly elected Vice President Tony De Luca, look forward to ensuring continued success.
I would be remiss not to acknowledge and thank outgoing President John DiDonato for all of his excellent work and dedication over the past sixteen years. John took over as the club President in a time of uncertainty six years ago. Through his forward thinking ideas, the MHYSC was able to establish itself as one of the best soccer clubs in Hamilton. I was honoured to work alongside John and learn from his model tenure. John will be recognized further in future celebrations.
Finally, I want to thank you, the loyal membership for supporting the MHYSC and helping to grow and improve our club over these many years. It is with your support that the MHYSC will continue to develop and improve soccer programming for youth in the Hamilton area.
