Mount Hamilton Youth Soccer Club is pleased to confirm Adam Bond as our Interim Club Head Coach. He has been serving in the role throughout the winter leading MHYSC’s Academy program. Bond has coached the last three years with Mount Hamilton in the Academy Program and also with Hamilton United OPDL. Coach Adam brings more than eight years of experience to the position as MHYSC’s Interim Club Head Coach.
Coach Adam said, “I grew up playing for the MHYSC organization. The numerous amounts of friendships I have made playing with Mount Hamilton, countless memories built, and many unforgettable championships, is what I cherish most. I take pride in coaching local players, and developing soccer players in our community, as well as giving back to the beautiful game that has done so much for me over my playing years.”
Mark Fonovic, MHYSC Club President added, “On behalf of the Mount Hamilton Youth Soccer Club Board of Directors we are pleased to have Adam Bond as Club Head Coach in an interim capacity. With Adam’s experience at our club and his existing relationship with the players and their parents it was the right move to have him step into the role and maintain continuity with our programming. A big part of our role at Mount Hamilton is to develop players, coaches and officials so it is only natural that we give Adam an opportunity, who started playing soccer with us as a young boy, to further develop as a coach.”
Coach Adam played for Mount Hamilton as a youngster, before going on to play at Mohawk College and semi-pro. He played rep with the Mount Hamilton Avalanche from U16 to U18. At Mohawk College, he was named to the OCAA All-Star Team, was selected as OCAA Athlete of the Week and was a four-time leading goal-scorer with the Mountaineers. Coach Adam played two seasons Semi-pro in the USL-PDL (now known as USL 2) – Hamilton FC Rage 2011 – 2013 and one season CSL – St. Catherine’s Roma – 2014
He has more than eight years coaching experience – OUA, OPDL and Hamilton MJ District. Coach Adam has his National B License Part 1 and his Provincial C License and has taken Ontario Soccer’s Technical Director’s Course. He brings a background in strength and conditioning as well as – Health, Wellness and Fitness Professional – Mohawk College, TWIST Athlete Performance Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Trigger Point Level 1* Foam Rolling: Myofascial Release Coach. Coach Adam is also HIGH- 5 Principles of Childhood Development Certified.
