MHYSC Teams Advance to OYSL
Congratulations to our U15 (1998) Boys Team, U18 (1996) Boys Team and U18 (1996) Girls Team who have advanced to play in the Ontario Youth Soccer League in the 2014 Season. Congratulations to the players and coaches! Well done and Best of Luck next season!
MHYSC Academy is coming to a close for the 2013/2014 indoor sessions. To cap off another successful year a selection of players will be visiting the TFC / KIA Training Centre, in Downsview, to have the full TFC experience including a KIA scouting session, nutritional education, sport psychology and strength and conditioning sessions. Thank you to Carl Horton and all our mentor coaches and congratulations to all our players for a fantastic season.
The Mount Hamilton Youth Soccer Club (MHYSC) and the Stoney Creek Soccer Club (SCSC) would like to extend a heartfelt note of thanks to our members as we continue to pursue Hamilton United (HU) initiatives. This year, HU experienced the realization of an Interlock House League program at the U8, U14, U16 and U19 age groups. Although initial growing pains were experienced, both clubs have realised the shared benefits of this interlock league and of other shared programming (coaching clinics, winter house league etc). HU will continue to move forward in this regard, implementing lessons learned for an even better experience in the 2014 recreational season! However, HU have decided that amalgamation of MHYSC and SCSC competitive teams will not occur for the 2014 outdoor season. Essentially this means that MHYSC and SCSC will continue to operate independently at the competitive levels while interests from other neighbouring soccer clubs into HU initiatives, including competitive amalgamation, are explored. On behalf of the MHYSC, SCSC and HU, we extend our best wishes for the remainder of the season and look forward to even greater accomplishments in 2014.
